Our mission is to make High Peak a shining example of a low cost low carbon energy future in this beautiful rural setting. We use a community-led model to deliver energy efficiency and renewable energy projects across the region. We aim to lower carbon emissions, lower energy costs, increase awareness and education of sustainable living and build stronger, a more connected, more resilient community.
Our values: Birch Vale CIC is not affiliated with any political party or organisation. Our aim is to deliver community-led renewable energy and to reduce both energy demand and fuel bills. We believe this work can and should be separate from party politics. We therefore welcome members, investors and partners from across the political spectrum.
Our model: Currently a volunteer led, non-profit organisation all we can maintain fantastic momentum towards achieving our objectives for the community.
The future: Should we receive interest from a diverse mix of potential directors and our feasibility study shows a strong business case, a new Community Benefit Society will be listed with the Financial Conduct Authority.
